How I Quit World of Warcraft and Games in General. - - - First Step - - -

Hello guys, This blog will consist of many pages, so I hope you guys can withstand my awful grammar, and definitely give me feed back so I can become a better writer.

Now, Let me tell you guys a little bit about myself. I started playing world of warcraft at the age of 17. I was introduced by one of my foreign exchange student at my school. My friend asked me if I played world of warcraft and I replied "no." I wanted to bond with my new friend, and decided to buy the game and try it out. At first grinding through this game got me really bored. I was stuck at level 20-40 for about a good month, just running around and playing around. Then I decided to stick it out and level up to the max level at the time was 70. When I reached level 70, I started doing dungeons, and then started doing raids. I then got hooked to the game as I started doing raids. The complexity of the game, and the WOW factor of this game got me hooked. I started raiding as much as I could. As soon as I got out of school, I went straight home and played World of warcraft for hours. The most hours I have played straight was 30 hours non-stop, that's including bathroom and meal breaks.

My life cycle at this time was out of control. I played 10-12 hours of games each day, had 4-6 hours of sleep, and only went downstairs to eat food and poop. I peed in the bottles that were next to me. I took showers ever 3-5 days. I even bought a laptop so I can bring to the bathroom and played games while I was pooping. My life was to the extreme on this game. So Now I've decided to continue with my education after wasting 2-3 years of my life to this game, and deeply regret it for the rest of my life. Now I'm doing great in my life. I am married, working towards Pharmacy School. I'm doing so much better after leaving this life style, and so should you. These are just some of the things I did to knock myself out of the gaming life, this may not work for most of you guys, but hopefully you guys can take some of these tips or guides and put it to use and change your life in general. So for those people who are seeking help, I hope my blog can help you change or even get you out of the hard core gaming life style.

My first step is to be ACTIVE. These are some of the examples that I did: finding a job, volunteering, going out and exploring what's next door, talk to people openly and don't be shy, exercise, and GO OUTSIDE! This first step is to open your eyes, and make you comfortable with changes that will come to your life. This first step is to keep you busy, and keep you away from that game. This first step is the most important step. These are the many things I did to keep myself busy, and not stay inside the house.

First if you have a job you can exclude this. If not then, GO FIND A JOB!!! Find a job that you want to pursue, or find a sales job at a cell phone company, or work at job that requires you to be interactive with people. I found myself a job selling computers, that's what I was good at the time. I knew a lot about computers, I built my own to play WoW at max settings. So I went and earned myself a decent job with commission and got free and discounted computer parts from my work place. I also went from a homeless bum at home making $0 dollars a year to making $15,000 a year as part time.

Going back to my first step, learn how to be more active. Every day after I got off work, I went to go exercise. I was sitting at 260 pounds before I met the young lady mentioned above. My main exercise was going out with my buddies and playing basket ball. Even though I was 260 pounds, I wasn't as flexible and athletic as the rest, but I still tried. I tried staying up and continue playing for 2-3 hours non stop with maybe 10 minute break in between each game. I did this after 2 months of having my job selling computers. I played around a total of 6-12 hours of basketball each week, until winter hit. After 4 months of being active physically, I lost 50 pounds, and was in the best shape I have ever been since elementary. I was jogging, I had almost lost my double chin, and my legs/feet were never sore from constant standing. I volunteered at special events, I met a lot of professionals, I met the CEO of CVS, I did a lot of things that year just alone that I couldn't achieve in the past two years of playing World of Warcraft. Now my only thought is that I deeply regret ever not changing for better until I wanted change, but you know what they say in World of Warcraft, "LEEEEEEEEROOOY JENKINS."

All in all, My health improved, and my lifestyle improved for the best.

World Of warcraft: Cataclysm Enhance shaman raid DPS Patch 4.0.6 // 4.1

Get World of Warcraft: Cataclysm now by clicking here.

I recently recorded this fight from this last week's BH 25man Raid. The reason why I'm not commentating this video is because I am currently not home at the moment. My mic is in my room. But in this video I will be showing you my dps in a raid and how much dps an enhance shaman can do against other class. The DK and Priest under me are both in my guild and a more geared than me. I would usually hit 19k + dps on BH; but the mage used timewarp in the beginning and I wasn't ready for it so my dps didn't get the big jump it was suppose to get. Also windfury wasn't proccing as much as I wanted to in the beginning of Timewarp.

But yeah here is the video of my dps, I'm currently at iLevel 353 and I have the Claw of agony set as my weapon. Zapsta is the other enhance shaman in my group at that moment. He was probably at ilevel 346+.
